Pro Bono Opportunity: Monthly Free Legal Clinic with Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach

Immigration attorneys needed for API Legal Outreach’s monthly free legal clinic. Meet and consult one-on-one with individuals in need of immigration advice for themselves and their loved ones. Follow up full representation is often requested so please bring your business cards and contact information if you are interested and able to offer fee-services to clinic participants. This is an opportunity to interact with a diverse range of clients, other volunteer attorneys, and impart some of your expertise to our volunteer law students! Refreshments are also provided to all volunteers with the support of the Asian American Bar Association of Northern California.

Date & Time: Every third Wednesday night of the month from 5pm to 8pm. Upcoming clinics will be June 21, July 19, August 16, September 20

Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach is a community-based, social justice organization serving the Asian and Pacific Islander communities of the Greater Bay Area. With a staff of 20 in offices in San Francisco and Oakland, we provide legal, social, and educational services in more than a dozen languages and dialects including Cantonese, Chiu-Chow, Hindi, Ilocano, Japanese, Korean, Lao, Mandarin, Spanish, Tagalog, Taiwanese, Urdu, and Vietnamese. Founded in 1975, our mission is to promote culturally and linguistically appropriate services for the most marginalized segments of the API community. Our work is currently focused in the areas of immigration and immigrant rights, human trafficking, domestic violence, violence against women, senior law and elder abuse, public benefits, and social justice issues.
