Lives on the Brink, written by Anu Peshawaria, a local Bay Area attorney, is about real life stories of women immigrants who suffered emotional and physical abuse in United States. She was presented an award in appreciation of her service and dedication for spreading social awareness and protecting immigrant rights for writing and researching the book by Anna Caballero, Secretary of State and Consumer Affairs for the State of California.
